Based in KwaZulu-Natal, OT for Kids is currently servicing schools and private clients within the areas of Durban, Umhlanga and Ballito.
Early childhood intervention is critical in addressing key areas of concern and preventing long term difficulties. Occupational Therapy aims to improve participation, growth and development of the child by using play techniques. This helps the child reach their highest level of independence.
OT for Kids takes a holistic approach in evaluating the child, in order to clearly understand how our level of support can positively impact their life.
Catering for all ages, OT for Kids’ therapeutic approaches include: Neurodevelopmental techniques (NDT), Ayres Sensory Integration (SI) and DIR/Floortime principles. One of the key aspect of therapy involves working closely with the child’s parents, caregivers and teachers allowing for functional carry-over of therapy goals within the child’s immediate environment.
